The following was found posted very low on a refrigerator door.
Dear Dogs and Cats: The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however. Dogs and cats can actually curl up i n a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.
For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.
The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.
Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:
TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPL AIN ABOUT OUR PETS:
(1) They live here. You don't. (2) If you don 't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture. (3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people. (4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.
Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they (1) eat less, (2) don't ask for money all the time, (3) are easier to train, (4) normally come when called, (5) never ask to drive the car, (6) don't hang out with drug-using people; (7) don't smoke or drink, (8) don't want to wear your clothes, (9) don't have to buy the latest fashions, (10) don't need a gazillion dollars for college and (11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..
So feeling rather happy as the outcast website has now changed from my rather crappy blog page into something a little more professional www.outcastlrp.com
Online booking system and character database, progression is currently in final stages of being tested. Rules are in yet another round of proof reading, convincing me that everything I thought I might know about English, was clearly a lie and I should stick to numbers. Anyway hopefull in the next week, the rules will go live on the site also. Just leaving the world book and maps that Dave and I, are currently beavering away finishing off.
To all those helping, a very big thanks.
If any of you arty types can manage to get some artwork done, if you can get it to me for the 13th of Feb that would be awesome as putting together print layouts around then.
Please note you will be credited, and the image wont be reproduced otherwise without your consent.

Anyway website work is now going ahead, just putting up a dev blog on the holding page at present while we mess around with it, so folks can stay up on what we are currently doing.

Ok as many of you know, I do a lot of work in health informatics, the science of trying to work out what makes people, how often where and how if possible to predict it.
So recently in an episode of blue sky thinking (oh how I hate that term) occured to me that I should actually look at other industries and use some of their methodology. As Health informatics is a very new area, however manufacturing isn't. So use of some SPC principals worked wonders on some a and e data that I was examining.
So here is the crunch, at uni I did some work on neural nets and used them to draw conclusions about images they were shown. So I am now wondering if I fed information into one about patients that have had strokes or heart attacks, and similar for those who haven't what conclusions it will draw? Having spent a lot of time working out markers for this, I am actually wondering if something starting with no conceptions will draw the same conclusions or would it draw differing potentially more accurate ones? Downside is I probably need to explain this, get some dedicated hardware and commit a bunch of time to a potentially unfruitful exercise. So in two minds would appreciate input.
In other news have decided each day to try and go out of my way to help someone, very boy scout I know, but have come to the conclusion that the worlds needs an injection of good karma and it makes me feel good.....so a little selfish.

In other news, I also worked out a new method of health analysis yesterday which seems to work, really well. Everyone in my office was suitably impressed, then made comments about not understanding the maths, but the subsequent graphs made sense. Now testing it with a 3 year feed of a and e data.
Had immense fun bringing the Valsharess in on Friday for Liz's grand return. Also had amazing fun being Mr Grumpy, even if my face did ache by Saturday night from not smiling.

Time out
Popped out and grabbed food and booze for the pair of us, while we waited for Neal and Chloe to arrive.....eventually......and late as usual lol! Once everyone was present we headed to the Coronet at Elephant and Castle to join the queue of assorted goths, freaks and other assorted wierdo's at the bizarre ball.
The evening was generally entertaining, even if the beer was piss takingly expensive. Some of the acts were quite poor, not thinking of madame fifi or the lucho brittania at all........they seemed to have an act that reminded me of larpers trying to put on a show. However circus of horrors was pretty cool, as was the ministry. Hope next time they dont have a sudden change of venue and they get their headline acts.
Saturday saw strolls around camden, kensington and covent garden.......it also saw me drooling over fire stuff in oddballs....especially the screw together fire swords......so tempted by them!! The evening had a pub dinner with Crollie and Andrew and some frothing, ending up in a late night visit to the Trocadero as the girls had never been.
All in all a good weekend.
A big happy birthday to my rather awesome evil twin
